Today was a beautiful day for the Lord.
We traveled to San Juan de Limay again today to experience and help with a baptism service. We left early (4:45am) this morning to make it to the river by 8am. Pastor Guillermo held a service at the river for the baptism of 7 believers. Some were new believers and some had been believers for several years but had a fight with the Devil and the world we live in.
We read from Matthew and sang together. Then all 7 shared their testimonies from the Lord. After that, Ryan and I prayed over every single person individually. Then we went down to the river, watched as all 7 professed Jesus as Lord and Savior outwardly, and were made new in Him and showed their faith through baptism. Then I had the honor to present them with a certificate of baptism to help them remember this day. Then the pastor gave each person advice about their walk with the Lord.
It was an amazing day to be a part of. I got glory goosebumps as the first person was submerged in the water.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to serve God and his people here in Nicaragua and look forward to more experiences like this
