Hey everyone! We are so excited to share a new happening with the Mabe Family. When the kids started school here in Matagalpa, we met one of the best principals. He was always loving and supporting our family. However, he decided to move to another school...Thomas Edison American School where he is now. He has continued to keep in contact with us even after leaving the kids' school...which is awesome because the kids really bonded with him.
Last week, he sent me a message asking if Ryan and I would be interested in tutoring people from the school he is at now. Of course, I jumped right on it because I miss teaching dearly. I wasn't sure what to expect but today was our first day of tutoring.
I learned that I am tutoring fellow teachers in English and helping to provide teaching methods and ideas for their classrooms as well. I am so excited to be able to help but we also are going to do our best and share the Gospel with these teachers as well. We are so excited...I think Ryan might be a little excited too!
While we are tutoring the teachers, the principal is tutoring Hannah and Josiah in Spanish. He helped them so much when he was at their school and now, they get to learn more.
We are so thankful for this new opportunity as we learn the language and the culture here in Matagalpa. Prayers for all of you and thank you so much for your prayers and support.
