8-25-24 Trip for Josiah’s Birthday

Good evening friends and family. We have enjoyed a wonderful week and weekend.

Ryan and I were able to attend Spanish classes just on Friday because of Sarah being sick. Her fever finally broke on Wednesday evening.

The kids had a good week at school and we even took cupcakes to celebrate Josiah's 8th birthday on Thursday.

The kids and I did get to go to tutoring both days this week...Monday and Wednesday. The kids practiced the difference in boy and girl animal names. I taught idioms, vocabulary activities, and started teaching on the -ed rules and sounds. Teaching has been a huge blessing to me and I hope and pray that God uses me and Ryan to help minister to these teachers.

This weekend we headed to Managua and Masaya to celebrate Josiah's birthday with a trip to the Nicaraguan Zoo and to play disc golf (his favorite sport). The kids also got some swimming in too which was exciting for them. We ended the weekend with McDonald!!

Continued prayers this week we are going to try and catch up on missed Spanish classes with extra hours of class. We also plan to go to San Juan de Limay to do ministry. Lord willing.

In September, we plan to visit a new department (state) in Nicaragua to help us to learn more about our new country but also build more relationships with local pastors and churches. We are excited to do this because it helps us to grow and connect.

Prayers for you all to have a good week...always know we are praying for you as well. Blessings and love from the Mabe family.
