5-30-24 Serving with a Mission Team from Texas & Family Day at the kids school

Good evening everyone!! We had a great week but a busy week. A friend of ours, who is a pastor here in Matagalpa, invited us to help a mission team who came from Texas to minister to the people here. Of course, we said yes and enjoyed our time with the team.

We started with church on Sunday morning at Iglesia Bautista Fe. There we met the mission team of 7. Our three kids fell in love with the youngest of the team Hanna (19 yrs old).

Monday, we weren't able to help because we were waiting on the electrician to check out the water heater.

Tuesday, we helped with the kids ministry at the soccer field. We helped make balloon animals and our kids played soccer with the kids. They presented the gospel to all the kids who were in attendance with 5-7 professing Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Tuesday evening, they had a woman's ministry in one of the congregation member's homes. I was able to help make more balloons but for a game and enjoy the devotional time and testimonies that were shared.

Wednesday from 10-3, Hannah and Siah had Family Day at school. They both had performances and sang songs in Spanish with their classes. They did a great job and we enjoyed seeing them spend time with their friends.

Wednesday evening, we helped the mission team set up decorations at a restaurant where we celebrated Nicaraguan mother's Day a day early. Then we helped with the kids while the families enjoyed time with each other and listening to God's word. I was even able to practice my Spanish skills as we didn't have an interpreter while we played with the kids.

Tonight, we enjoyed our last evening service with the mission team before they headed back to Managua. Pastor Pablo told us that today alone when the team was doing children's activities, they had at least 45 children come to know Christ as their Lord in Savior.

It was a wonderful week and we were so happy to meet and be able to help this great team. God is moving in Nicaragua and we are so grateful to a part of it.
