Good morning friends and family. We hope and pray that everyone is doing well.
We want to say thank you for all of your prayers last week. Soon after I posted about the lack of water from the city, we had good water pressure for the majority of the week. Praise God.
On Saturday, we had planned to go to San Juan de Limay to do house to house however Friday evening brought very large amounts of water causing flooding and road closures. This means we were unable to travel safely to San Juan de Limay Saturday. We plan to reschedule house to house when we return from the states. We were sad that we could not complete this ministry activity but we also know that God is in control and will provide many more opportunities for us to do it in the future.
Hannah and Josiah received their 2nd quarter Spanish school grades on Thursday and they both have made big improvements. Josiah is even 2 grades away from all A's. We are so proud of them and how hard they are working to learn Spanish and complete all their homeschool tasks. They have been speaking more Spanish lately even in the home which is awesome. Ryan and I wont be having very many "private" conversations in Spanish much longer at the rate they are learning.
On Wednesday, I was invited to be a judge in an English spelling bee at a local English school. I got to work with the 1st grade students who just began learning English this year. It made my heart happy to be with school kids again. I sure do miss teaching!! It was a great experience and we got to share God too.
We ask that you pray for safety for us as we leave this morning to head to Managua. We will be flying to the United States tomorrow morning to head to NC and WV for a few weeks. Hopefully we can see some of you who live near us!
Blessings!!
